Our visitors Françoise Boudier et Bénamar Aidouni brought the sunshine, well mostly!
16/5. We went to The Garden House! I got lost going and ended on Yelverton air field where Paulene loved seeing the foal.
The flowers were a gourgeuse riote of colour! we came back via Prince Town & Two Bridges.
Evening at Wilcove Hall 5.00pm with Mike and Val
Pearn in place of Mayor, twinning choir and handbell ringers. There will
be a Cornish buffet of cocktail pasties, scones with jam and cream and
saffron buns. I enjoyed it all especialy the saffron buns. The twinning
choir was a suprise they were good!
17/5. Friday Eden project. The only day it rained. but still it was only as we left in the coach.
Bénamar Aidouni, Paulene Smith et Françoise Boudier"
We were invited to Dave Englands Evening Soirees. Again you could have feed a regiment, as Doreen is next door to Patsy they has worked together and also every one brought something Paulene brought her Chees Cake.
18/5. Saturday We went to Looe not exciting but nice well the dinner in Daves Dinner could have been better, like I could have ordered a Crab salad, as was served to the other table , but Fish and Chips was what we had.
Dinner and Dance . 7.00 for 7.30pm. New Mayor Councillor Mrs Chris Goodman and her consort Mr Chris Goodman attended.
Again the Twinning Choir liftted up our spirits with their music.
Love The White Rose
No need really as the room was breathtaking! laid out smartly, And the food was the best, a lighter meal was just the thing,
but each course was special
I've never had Beetroot and Mackerel starter,
the Chicken in mushroom and pepper sauce on top of mash potatoes with spring vegetables,
followed with just enough of Chocolate moose with a Chocolate dipped strawberry with a little clotted cream,
finished it off. There was also a course of biscuits and cheese for those not quite full !
19/5. We had Sunday Roast Dinner with
Kilbys at the TMSC sailing club.
Paulene wanted to see the artist at the
Mt. Edgecombe
Orangery, so I drove out, a little walk with Ben buying us
an Ice Cream as Paulene looked for the artist, walked in the
Gardends only to find were not the only twinners there, sit
down by the Battery ("Guns" to the uninformed). As we were
leaving Paulene again went to find and did talk too the
Artist doing a display in the Orangery.
Then a senic drive back through Cawsands and along the beach road. Then looking in at Port Eliot we went into St. Germans Church we went on to look at the St. Germans Viaduct and Wacker Quay
Meeing at Sailing Club 7.00pm I only got there by 20:00hrs just as everyone was getting ready for final farwell to our French Visitors
